Every spring job includes a cable and drum check. A snapped cable usually has a reason, often a tired spring, and we'll show you what we find.

One spring or two? Your call.
On a two-spring door, only one usually breaks. Replacing just that one is fine and cheaper today. Replacing both takes a few more minutes now but usually saves a second visit, because they were installed together and wear together. We quote both ways and you pick. No pressure either way.
What we won't do: tell you a spring is broken when it isn't. A tech who claims your springs are 'the wrong kind' and must all go, on a door that opens fine, is selling.
Questions about broken spring repair
Please don't. A wound torsion spring stores enough energy to break bones. Extension springs are less dangerous but still need safety cables.
Standard springs are rated around 10,000 cycles, about 7 to 10 years of normal use. High-cycle springs last longer; we'll show you both options.
Not safely. Leave it closed and unplug the opener. If your car is trapped, call us and say so; we prioritize it.
